This interview has been edited and condensed.Geri Horner 'dashes hopes of a Spice Girls reunion at Brooklyn Beckham's wedding to Nicola Peltz as she jets to Australia with husband Christian' I really hope that when they see what I do, they feel and know that they can do it too. They all want to know how I got to where I am and how I did it, because they lack a level of representation in the fashion industry. It’s such a beautiful thing to see girls from everywhere learn from me. I have a community of young models, who aren’t working as models yet, that keep up with my journey. I love to learn and explore different things. When it was finished, I thought, Wow, I did this. It was a lot of work and obviously much different from modeling. Last year I directed a video, and it was incredibly interesting. I’m proud of my first cover for Italian Glamour in 2017. There are a lot of things I’m proud of in my career. She’s two and a half, and sometimes I have to teach her by setting an example. Even with my daughter, I have learned to say no to her also. If you aren’t comfortable or happy with something, you have to be able to move on and trust yourself. It’s also important to never be scared to say no. I don’t want to travel much, because she goes with me everywhere.
Naturally, I became more selective about accepting jobs and not taking things the way I did before. After giving birth I began to think harder about what I wanted and it led me to the most interesting projects that I’ve done so far. I don’t know if it’s related in some way, but after I became a mother, I started to do my best work to date. Here, the 24-year-old star explains how humility and curiosity have placed her exactly where she wants to be. Her diverse catalog of work reflects her best, most vulnerable self.
